AUGUSTA, Ga. - Robert Benjamin Baker, age 47, passed away on October 14, 2009. He was a resident of Augusta from 1989 to present. He was the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Rudolph R. and Martha Baker and the late Jimmie Brown Baker. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his daughter, Victoria Baker of Panama City, FL; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Wendy Baker of Gainesville, GA; a sister, Laura B. Bowers, of Maryville, TN; and beloved girlfriend, Cathy Lewis of Augusta. He had two step-brothers and sister- in-law, Jon Farr of Decatur, GA; and Paul and Holli Farr of Americus, GA. He had two maternal aunts and uncle, Alice and John Williams of Murphys, California; and Betty Stephens, of Panama City, Florida. He had a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Woodlawn United Methodist Church where he was an active member. The body will lie in state from noon until 2:00 PM with Rev. Jim McCollough officiating. A graveside service will be held in West View Cemetery, Atlanta on Monday, October 19 at 12:00 noon.
