NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Robert Vince Westervelt Jr. entered into rest on October 4, 2012 , he was 49. Robert proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps for 22 years before retiring as a Master Gunnery Sergeant. He recently retired as a service tech from AT&T and was currently trying his hand at lawn care services. Pop as he was referred to by his family and friends, was a fun loving and hardworking man who loved to spend his days outdoors. He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Horne and husband Richard , Tara Westervelt and one son, Robert Westervelt III. Two grandchildren, Evan and Riley. The family will receive friends at his residence today, Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 803 Brooks Dr. N.Augusta from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. A formal memorial service is being planned for the Spring. Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. U.S.M.C. Ret. Master Gunnery Sgt.
