Robert Wilson "Bob" Hawthorne, Jr., 73, loving and caring husband of 21 years to Leona "Lee" B. Hawthorne, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Lee Hawthorne and her children, R.J. Starnes (Teresa) and Tiffany Starnes; His previous wife, KiCha Pfenning and their children, Donny Hawthorne (Anna), Michelle Bell (Hudson) and Kathleen Harris; Grandchildren, Eleanor (Trevor), Evyn, Ashley, Justin, Christian, Trey, Raheem, Tykeria, Aleisha, Tiffany and Ryan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 6, 2017, at Powell Baptist Church with the Dr. Randall Whitaker and the Reverends Stanley Lewis and Mark Maddox officiating with full Military Honors accorded.

Bob was born in Albany, NY to the late Ford and Jean Marie Rogers. He retired in 1984 from the United State Army after 20 years of service to his Country. In 2005, he retired as lead technician from Augusta Harley Davidson. He was affectionately known as "Biker Bob". He was preceded in death by his grandson, Adam Hawthorne.

If so desired, memorials may be made to a local animal shelter of your choice.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the wonderful care given by Lake Crossing Health Center and Alliance Hospice.

Following the service, a time of visitation for family and friends will be held at the church.
