Mr. Roger Wills Kennedy, 64, went home to be with his Lord on April 11, 2017 at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta.

Mr. Kennedy was born in Washington, GA to the late H. Dorsey Kennedy and the late Margaret Gilmer Kennedy. He worked in the banking industry for 20 years, at Camperland and was currently employed at Costco. Mr. Kennedy was a 1970 graduate of Thomson High School, he attended Trinity Baptist College and Andersonville Baptist Seminary, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Theology. He had also served as Pastor of New Providence Baptist Church. Mr. Kennedy was a member of Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta where he served as the teacher of the Men's Sunday School Class and the leader of the Recovery Care Ministry. He was an avid Nascar Fan and Georgia Bulldog Fan. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by a brother, Hugh David Kennedy; sister, Rebecca Thompson; step mother, Ellen Kennedy and his faithful friends, Arnold Whitson and Danny Brazell.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Mary Mayo Kennedy; daughters, Jennifer Rexroat (Jeff), Margaret Martin (Chris); brothers, Ken Amerson, Larry Chalker, and Jimmy Kennedy; sister, Kathy Dupree; and grandchildren, Trip Rexroat, Sydney Bree Rexroat, Hudson Wills Martin, and Kennedy Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at Victory Baptist Church, North Augusta, SC with Dr. R. Larry Brown and Brother Timmy Newton officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Glenn Reddish, Dusty Williford, Kevin Chamlee, Jason Dunham, Jonathan Dunham, Britt Shedd and Jamie Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers will be: Scott Carter, Marion Malcolm, Lee Westfall and Kevin Hunt.

Friends may call at the residence of Jennifer and Jeff Rexroat, 3371 Tom Bartles Rd., Appling, GA.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
