LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Ronald L. Gulley, age 75, of Highway 1 north, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 19, 2016 in the Park Hill Cemetery in Columbus, GA with minister Lance Cordle officiating. A native of Columbus, GA, Mr. Gulley was a son of the late George Bogart Gulley and Winnie Boyd Gulley. He was a 1959 graduate of Baker High school in Columbus. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed at the U.S. Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Ron worked more than 30 years in the optical business as a licensed optician and was a truck driver for many years. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Carolyn Collins, and is survived by brother, Norman L. Gulley of Louisville; sister and brother-in-law, Laura and minister Lance Cordle of Calvert City, KY; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Augusta University Medical Center Renal Transplant Department. The Gulley family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, November 18th at Taylor Funeral Home, Louisville, and on Saturday, November 19th from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at the McMullen Funeral Home in Columbus, GA prior to funeral services.
