GILLISONVILLE, S.C. - Rosemary "Rose" Kennedy Bevan, 86, of Gillisonville, S.C., died July 30th, 2015 with her family by her side after a battle with a long illness. She was born to the late Clyde Fredrick Kennedy and Marjorie Mathis on March 11, 1929 in Augusta, GA. Rose has been cared for the past 11 years at Nancy Hall's Personal Care Home in Evans, GA. Rose received her RN degree from Barret School of Nursing in 1950. She was a distinguished, admired nurse in Waynesboro, GA, Hampton and Jasper counties Hospitals for many years. It is her compassion, caring nature, and moxie that will be forever remembered by her family, friends, co-workers, and patients she tended. She was an active member of Gillisonville Baptist Church for many years. Davant Plantation was her home for 40 years. She is preceded in death by her son Mr. David Mathis Bevan and her parents. She is survived by her husband Mr. Frederick Edward Bevan of Ridgeland, S.C., her brother Mr. Charles F. Kennedy of Martinez, GA, and her two children: son, Mr. William Frederick Bevan of Ridgeland, S.C. and daughter, Mrs. Cynthia (Ray) Johnson of Martin, S.C. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Patrick E. Bevan, Christian F. Bevan, Gillian R. Tuttle, Paul D. Tuttle, Brooke A. Johnson, and six great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 2pm., location, Gillisonville Baptist Church, 10158 Grays Hwy., Ridgeland SC. 29936. Brother Tripp Daley, officiating.
