INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Ruby Campbell, age 81, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Rocky, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in her home on May 18, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born August 17, 1931 in Rocky, Arkansas to the late Claude C. Cummings and the late Ruby M. Cummings Watkins. She was married to Herbert E. Campbell, Jr. She was a military wife and lived and traveled extensively overseas and in the US. Ruby worked as a clerk for the U.S. Army at Ft. Gordon at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center and was a member of the Bicentennial Chapel at Ft. Gordon. Ruby had a servant s heart, active in the Protestant Women of the Chapel Flower Ministry, writing to troops overseas, reading the Bible to shut-ins, a nursing home ministry and was a Red Cross Volunteer. Her motto was do unto others as you have them do unto you. Ruby loved to sing, hunt antiques and spend time with her family and friends. Everyone knew they could count on her for anything. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her by her son, Robert Alan Campbell, her mother, Ruby M. Watkins, her father, Claude C. Cummings, her step-father, Marion Watkins and her beloved dog, Princess. She is survived by her daughter Linda Sipe (Randy), a granddaughter Rachel Kinnebrew (Garrett), a grandson, Zachary Sipe (Elise), and a sister Sarah Claudean Davis of Dyer, Arkansas. A memorial service will be held June 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel in Mena, Arkansas.
