NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth Keyton Boone, 88, who entered into rest April 30, 2013, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. J. Lloyd Prince officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park. Mrs. Boone was a native of Wrightsville, Georgia, having made North Augusta her home for the past 66 years. She was a Charter Member of Bel-Ridge Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Boone was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was known as a marvelous cook. She loved children and worked as a kindergarten teacher at Happy Times Kindergarten and was Assistant Director and Pre-K Teacher at North Augusta Child Care. Mrs. Boone always put others before herself and will be remembered for her caring heart, love for others and service to God. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Beverly Boone, North Augusta; a daughter and son-in-law, Dale and George Walden, North Augusta; six grandchildren, Kevin Walden, Brandi Pittman, Elizabeth Boone, Jayme Keel, Brittany Boone and Ben Boone; 9 great -grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12 Noon until the hour of service and requests that friends call at the funeral home rather than the residence. Memorials may be made to the , Georgia Chapter, 106 SRP Drive, Suite A Evans, GA 30809. The family would like to thank Pepper Hill Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, particularly, Pam Herring and Tiffany Jubak for their loving care over the last 8 years.
