Cooper, Sr. NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mr. Samuel A. Cooper, Sr., 77, of Seymour Drive, North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest July 15, 2016, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. H.B. Johnston officiating. Mr. Cooper was a native of Augusta, having made North Augusta his home for the past 51 years. He was retired from Kimberly-Clark with 27 years of service and was a member of the American Pool Players Association as well as an avid Fisherman. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Mills Cooper, a brother, T.J. Cooper and a sister, Dorothy Buscigilo. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Ellen Blackstock Cooper; two sons and daughters-in-law, Julian and Cissi Cooper, Warrenville and Sam (Sambo) and Tanya Cooper, Graniteville; three daughters and a son-in-law, Carilee Cooper, Kelly and Michael Yeager and Mary Brown, all of North Augusta; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gene Cooper, Martinez, Billy Cooper and Bobby Cooper, both of North Augusta; a sister, Geneva Paul, North Augusta. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 until 9.
