AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Saundra Geneva Cooper Burns entered into eternal rest on April 6, 2016 at University Hospital after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 10, 2016, 3:00 p.m. at Savannah Rapids Pavilion, White Oak Conference Room, 3300 Evans-to-Locks Road, Martinez, GA 30907. Saundra was the youngest daughter of the late Henry and Mildred Cooper of Old Savannah Road in Augusta, GA, and was a 1973 graduate of George P. Butler High School. She was preceded in death by her oldest sister, Henrietta C. Avery. Saundra leaves to mourn: her husband, David Burns; sons, Walter R. Bridges II, Eric Von Bridges, and Jeremy P. Harris; two stepchildren; a sister, Brenda C. Jason; and several family members, including grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and sorrowing friends. W. H.
