GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mrs. Sharon Jeanette Thornton Morrow departed this life Monday, January 25, 2016, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia after an extended illness. Sharon was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Dorothy and Manual Thornton. She lived her adult life in Grovetown, Georgia and became a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she worked with the youth ministry. Sharon earned a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Augusta State University. She taught for several years at Kingdom Kids Christian Academy in Augusta, Georgia. At the time of death, Sharon was an educator in the Richmond County School System. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Leroy Darrison; father, Manual Thornton and grandchild, Bree-anna Thornton. Survivors are her husband, Matthew Morrow, their three children, four grandchildren, her brother, Michael Fleming (Lumisha); and a host of aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 5212 N. Tubman Rd., Appling, GA 30802. Interment will be in the church cemetery. W. H.
