HARLEM, Ga. - Shelton (Shelley) Paulos, age 38, entered into rest November 9th. A memorial service will be held at Journey Community Church Monday, November 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Bobby Smith officiating. Ms. Paulos was a longtime resident of Harlem. She graduated from North Augusta High School and had worked over the years in various positions in office management. survivors include her beloved son Luke Paulos; parents Sarah and Alford Barnett; father Charles Paulos; sisters Stacey (Bruce) Randall, Sadie (Frank) Mishoe; brother Matt Paulos; foster daughter Jill Gonzalez; maternal grandmother Jean Shelton and paternal grandmother Betty Baldwin; other family members, Steve and Ruth Baldwin and family, and Terry Harris; her nephews James Herndon, Steven Randall, Gabe McGhee and McCoy Mishoe; and her aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Billy Shelton and paternal grandfather Bob Baldwin. She was an active member of Journey Community Church and loved her church. Shelley enjoyed family gatherings, church activities, getting together with friends, road trips, camping, and holidays. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she would have her tree up by Thanksgiving. She would be out in the wee hours of the morning on the day after Thanksgiving happily shopping in all of the crowds. All who knew her appreciated her quick wit and her love of music. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Lydia Project, 2501 McDowell Street, Augusta, GA 30904. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Trinity Hospice for the support and loving care that was given to Shelley during her illness.
