WILLISTON, S.C. - Funeral services for Shirley Lott McAlhaney Oliver, 77, of Williston, SC will be held two p.m., Sunday, November 18, 2012 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC, with the Revs. David O'Donnell and Floyd Dukes officiating. Burial will be in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from five to seven p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 107 Westpark Boulevard, Suite 150, Columbia, SC 29210 or the Williston Cemetery, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853. Mrs. Shirley passed away Monday, November 12, 2012. Born in Williston, SC she was the daughter of the late Shep Lott and Evelyn Garvin Lott. She was first married to the late Robert L. McAlhaney, Jr. and was the widow of A. Gene Oliver. After retiring from E.I. DuPont where she worked for 37 years; Shirley worked for an attorney for four years. She was a board member for AXIS I and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she has served as the church organist since 1980. Survivors include a son, Robert Robbie L. (Karen) McAlhaney, III of Williston; step-children, Darryl Oliver of Bamberg, Bruce (Kim) Oliver of Sneads Ferry, NC, Kenneth (Deb) Oliver of Columbia, Lawana Oliver Hinton of Anderson; grandsons, Robert L. Lee (Ashlyn) McAlhaney, IV, Shane Patrick McAlhaney, USAF; a brother, Shep Andrew Andy (Roxanne) Lott of Williston; nephews, Bradley (Cleo) Lott of US Navy Charleston, SC, Larry (Leona) Mixson of Chapin, SC, Danny (Hope) Mixon of James Island, SC; great step-nephew, Bryson Mallard; niece, Kellie Lott (Stewart) Carroll of Williston; great niece, Arrena Marie Lott and a number of step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant brother and a niece, Sherri Mixson Michau. Folk Funeral Home, Inc, and Crematory of Williston, SC is assisting the family with arrangements.
