AUGUSTA, Ga. - Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Steve Sheram, age 69, of Avondale Drive, Augusta, GA, who died Thursday evening, February 19, 2015 at his residence. Pallbearers will be Tom Armistead, Trent Godowns, David Gunn, Larry Cobb, Bobby Anderson, Buddy Johnston, Billy Bissette, Robert Rabun, and Paul Williams. A native of Louisville, GA, Steve was a son of the late Jerry Guy and Lucille Hett Sheram. He spent time as the owner of Sportsman Village in Louisville, GA and later worked as a welder throughout Washington and Jefferson County. With a deep love for fishing and hunting, Steve took comfort in the knowledge that he was passing on this love to his children. He cherished his time with family and friends, and delighted when his granddaughters would pull on his whiskers. Prior to leaving Louisville for Augusta, he attended Walden's United Methodist Church, and at his time of passing, his bible was close to his side. Mr. Sheram was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his daughter, Dr. Mary Lynn Sheram and Dr. T. R. Kinsey of Evans; son, Steven and Amanda Sheram of Augusta; grandchildren, Isabella and Abigail Kinsey, and Olivia Sheram; sister, Terrie and Billy Bissette; brother, Wayne Sheram; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, you may make a contribution in Steve's name to the Ronald McDonald Charity House, 1442 Harper Street, Augusta, GA 30912. You may sign the family's personal guestbook online at www.taylorfhlouisville.com. Taylor Funeral Home Louisville is in charge of arrangements.
