DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - The Reverend Terry Allen Hunter, age 42, was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 4, 2016. Reverend Hunter was born in the Panama Canal Zone, June 20, 1973. He was a 1991 graduate of Hephzibah High School, graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Mathematics Degree, Columbus State University with a Computer Science Degree, Master's in Divinity from Emory University and was presently working on his Doctorate at Emory. Reverend Hunter served the Lord as the pastor of The Rock UMC, Culloden UMC, Yatesville UMC, Midway UMC, and Hanleiter UMC, both in Griffin, and most recently was the pastor at Bright Star United Methodist Church in Douglasville, GA Survivors include his wife, Laura C. Hunter; daughter, Anna Claire Hunter; mother and stepfather, Cindy and Walter Wagner; father, Mike Hunter; brothers, Michael Edward Hunter, Roy Wagner and Lee Wagner; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation for The Reverend Terry Allen Hunter will be on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Griffin First United Methodist Church from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm. Following the visitation a funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm in the sanctuary. Dr. Robin Lindsey, Dr. David Naglee, and Dr. Med Roach will officiate. Interment will follow in Pine Mountain City Cemetery, Pine Mountain, GA.
