NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Thelma Haynes, 89, entered into rest on Friday, September 30, 2016. Mrs. Haynes came to the United States in the 1950's from Panama City, Panama. She later made North Augusta, South Carolina her home in 1971. She worked as a homemaker for many years. She enjoyed her plants that she had and also had a love for dogs. Mrs. Haynes is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Smith and Rosa Valdes. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, William Reid Haynes; son, Robert Haynes; sister, Gladys Porter; and good friends, Dorothy King and Ted Buff. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, October 6, 2016 at our Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home.
