MARTINEZ, Ga. - A Memorial Service for Valerie Foucher, 45, will be Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 1pm at the Bicentennial Chapel, Building 28414, Ft. Gordon, Ga. Valerie was born in Sierra Leone, Africa and was raised in France. She was a certified pilot and scuba diver, fluent in 4 languages and a diverse, well-traveled adventurer with a love and passion for antiques and archaeology. She served the United States for 9 years in the US Army and 15 years as a Department of the Army Civilian. A decorated Veteran and Civilian Intelligence Officer, she will be laid to rest with full military honors. Survivors include her father Pierre Felix Foucher, her mother Anne Marie Joumard, her sister Marie-Christine Foucher and her honorary family Lili M. Agostini Youngblood, Melynda R. Cleveland and Alex Omweru.
