THOMSON, Ga. - Entered into rest Monday, March 30, 2015 at The Place @ Deans Bridge, Ms. Vernell Carswell Peebles King. Ms. King, a native of Swainsboro, Ga., lived most of her life in Augusta and the past 30 years in Thomson, Ga. She was a student of the Bible and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Blythe Community Center, Blythe, Ga., at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Erick Driggers speaking. Ms. King is survived by her sons, Thomas Santino, James Carswell, Daryal Carswell and Tony Carswell; daughters, Vivien DuBose, Elaine Marchant and Caroline Hartfield; brother, Dorsey Peebles; sister, Joann James; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren.
