WRENS, Ga. - Vince Williford, Jr., 74, loving husband of 52 years to Bobbie Sammons Williford, entered into eternal rest Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in the James Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Roundtree officiating. Interment will follow in the Wrens Memorial Gardens Cemetery. One of four children born to the late Molly Usry Williford and the late Vince Williford, Vince was a native of Glascock County but had lived in Wrens for the past 46 years where he was a member of Wrens Baptist Church. He worked at EZGo for 14 years, then retiring from Club Car with 14 years of service as their Production Manufacturing Engineer. He then retired a second time after working nine years at Air Balance. A self-made man, Vince was all about hard work and his family. Steadfast, loyal, dedicated, hard-working, trustworthy-are just some words that can only begin to describe his character. Above all else, he loved his family, especially his Jazzy. Vince is also preceded in death by all of his siblings, Otis Williford, Louie Williford and Christine Gill. Other survivors include his children, Bruce Williford and Julie Williford; granddaughter, Jazmin Loranzie MacKendree; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Pallbearers will be Franklin Banks, Larry Chalker, Mike McGahee, Bill Perry, Alan Stafford and Jeff Walden. Heartfelt thanks are given to his nurse and friend, Lynn McDonald, for her love and compassion. The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday evening, March 31, 2015.
