Wilfred J. LaPrade Sr.

THOMSON, Ga. - Wilfred J. LaPrade, Sr., 73, of Howard Rd., Thomson, entered into rest Thursday, May 27, 2009, at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, today, at 3:30 P.M., from the graveside in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Frankie May officiating. Family and friends should assemble at the graveside. Mr. LaPrade, a native of Schnectady, NY, had lived in Augusta for more than 30 years. He had retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of Sergeant First Class. Mr. LaPrade was a jack of all trades who enjoyed gardening, reading, and working crossword puzzles. Mr. LaPrade is survived by the mother of his children, Marion LaPrade of Augusta, seven children; and a host of grandchildren and family.
