AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Willie Thomas Norman, 54, beloved husband of Gussie Wynn Norman, entered into rest on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Doctors Hospital, Augusta. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove CME Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Norman grew up in Lincolnton and was a 1979 graduate of LCHS. He had been employed at Hexcel in Washington for over 25 years and was currently working as a truck driver at Lowes, Augusta. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove CME Church, where he served as Trustee and Steward. His father, Floyd Norman, Jr., preceded him in death. Survivors: wife: Gussie W. Norman; mother: Hattie Lee Hardy Norman, Lincolnton; son: Maurice Norman and wife, Christian, of Lincolnton; daughters: O'Shecia Wynn, Lincolnton, Nayschia Anderson, McCormick, SC, Olesia Norman, Augusta; brothers: Floyd S. Norman, Sr. and wife, Penny, Greenwood, SC, Walter Lee Hopper, Springfield, Ga.; sisters: Ava Albea and husband, Joe, Lincolnton, Loretta Chinn, Lincolnton, Angela Norman, Lincolnton; godson: Christopher Chinn; 9 grandchildren.
