AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Charles Charlie Blackwell, 84, of Augusta entered into rest Tuesday, February 12, 2013. He was an avid Racing Fan and thoroughly enjoyed watching races relaxing with a cigar. Mr. Blackwell was a Jump Master in the 82nd Air Borne and retired as a Sergeant Major from the United States Army. Charlie was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillianne Blackwell; grandson, Patrick Blackwell; and his precious Chihuahua, Ginger, who gave him with unconditional love and companionship for 15 years. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Lindal a (Gary L.) Harvell and Shari (Randal) Blackwell-Jordan; 2 sons, Ren (Dana) Blackwell and Charles M. (Debbie) Blackwell; 7 grandchildren, Kimberly, Kayla and Melissa Blackwell, Jessica and Samantha Jordan, Alexander K szegi, and William Blackwell; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 3 PM, Saturday, February 16, 2013 in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
