AUGUSTA, Ga. - Gerald Estroff Levy, 82, entered into rest on Thursday April 18, 2013 at Doctors Hospital. Graveside funeral services were held at 1:30 PM on Friday April 19, 2013 at Magnolia Cemetery with Rabbi David Sirull officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Nathan Jolles, Milton Steinberg, Aaron Tanenbaum, Mike Shapiro, David and Bobby Harkins. Honorary pallbearers Austin McCombs, Jordan McCombs and Jack Steinberg. Mr. Levy served his country in the U.S. Army, and was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism. He was employed and later retired from WJBF-TV, the ABC affiliate for Augusta. Prior to working in television he worked at WGAC-Radio. He was a member of Adas Yeshurun Synagogue. Survivors include his wife Terrie McCombs Levy; son Charles Joseph Levy; brother Irvin Sonny Levy; sister Harriett Levy Jacobs; mother-in-law Dorothy Columbro; brothers and sisters-in-law Mike and Tina McCombs, Chuck and Cathy McCombs and Karen McCombs; numerous nieces and nephews.
