LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Mr. Horace Colin Haynes, 64, of Ashmore Barden Rd. entered into rest on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA. The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Double Branches Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Keith Etheridge and Rev. Elliott Smith officiating. Mr. Haynes was the son of the late Horace Hampton Haynes and the late Rachel Holloway Haynes. He was retired from Clark-Schebel/ Hexcel Manufacturing in Washington, GA. after 32 years. Mr. Haynes was an avid fan of the Lincoln County Red Devils, where he was in attendance at most of the football, baseball and basketball games. Survivors include his sister, Inez H. Reese and husband, John of Lincolnton; two nieces, Sandra Gasparovic and husband, Mike of Townville, S.C.; Nancy R. Jones and husband, Mitch of Evans, GA.; two great nieces, Samantha and Mallory Jones of Evans; five aunts, Prudie H. Tankersley, Betty Holloway, Julia H. Reese and husband, Billy, Lou McWilliams and husband, Roland, all of Lincolnton and Patsy Clement and husband, Sonny of Evans, GA. Mr. Haynes was also preceded in death by a brother, Watson Scott Haynes. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Annie Hogan for her care and concern for Colin these last few months.
