AUGUSTA, Ga. - Augusta, Ga.- Mr. Jessie Earl Murphy entered into rest on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Earl as he was affectionately known, attended the Academy of Richmond County. He served his country in The United States Army and was a gifted carpenter. He was the owner of JEM Carpentry and had a passion for cooking. Mr. Murphy leaves to cherish fond loving memories with his wife, Holley Hill Murphy, her son, Michael Hill Jr., niece, Kimora Merriweather of the home, grandchild, Kellie Hill, seven sisters, June Murphy, Brenda Stewart, Ursula Bardney, Lesia Johnson, Lucy Beasley, Debbie Murphy, and Rameneque Toney, three brothers, Bruce Sholts, Ellis Murphy and Paul Murphy and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00am, Saturday, March 8, 2014, Augusta Deliverance Evangelistic Church, 2028 Roosevelt Drive, with Tryone R. Myles as eulogist. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens with military honors. Mr. Murphy may be viewed today from 2 to 6:00p.m. at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road. (706) 790-8858
