WRENS, Ga. - Helen Louise Davis Rozier, 77, loving and devoted wife of 60 years to Ernest Rozier, went home to be with her Lord Saturday afternoon, May 3, 2014 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM, Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Wrens Baptist Church with the Reverends J. Scott McKinney and Sean Heggood officiating. Interment will follow in the Wrens Memorial Gardens. Helen was the middle daughter of five girls born to the late Maudie Howell Davis and the late Howard Davis in Bleckley County. After graduating high school, she obtained a Master of Cosmetology degree and retired after 35 years of being a hairdresser. In 1966, she and her family moved to Wrens because of her husband's job. They were part of the Wrens Wrangler Square Dance Club, square dancing for 20 years. After retiring, they loved to go camping, traveling the countryside. Helen dearly loved Prissy and Toby, her canine children as well as Button, her cat friend. Helen faithfully served her Lord as a member of Wrens Baptist Church, a member of the choir and the Willis Clark Sunday School class. She was a devoted mother, providing a Christian home environment and loving her family, church family and friends unconditionally. Her desire was to get to know people, make them smile and feel God's love through her. This woman of God was an inspiration to many and will be greatly missed. Helen was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Dorothy NeSmith and Evelyn Mooney. Other survivors include her children, Tommy E. Rozier and Debra Rozier Jenkins (John); two sisters, Shelby Jean Sanders (James) and Ruby Black; four grandchildren, Nick Rozier (Laura), Valerie Rozier, Shelley Jenkins and Jonathan Jenkins; a great granddaughter, Hailey Rozier; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Pallbearers will be Ricky Holland, Scott Jackson, Danny Johnson, Tim Payne, Earl Sapp and Ritchie Sapp. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Willis Clark Sunday School Class, Deacons, and Choir members.
