AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. David "Dave" Freese, 75, of Augusta, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014. He was a die-hard Packers Fan, member of Raysville Bass Masters Fishing Club, avid Golfer at The Patch and member of American Legion Post #178. Dave was a dedicated annual volunteer with the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon. Dave was a member of "TOPS" Club (Take Off Pounds Sensibly). He was also a Private Investigator for nearly 20 years in the Augusta area. Dave is survived by his loving companion of over 39 years, Helga Tuure; son, Eddie (Barbara) Freese; daughter, Tammy (David) Skidmore; three grandchildren, Robert Freese, Topaz and Destiny; nieces, Diane, Cindy and Shari; nephews, Norman and Jamie; best friends, Jimmy Stewart, Curtis Wilson and Billy Wilson; his beloved Siamese cats, Stormy and Chantel; and numerous friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
