ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Harold M. Mitchum, Jr., 55, passed away July 24, 2008 following a lingering illness. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachael Beck Maddox. He is survived by his companion of fifteen years, Denise Parrinelli; his father, Harold M. Mitchum, Sr.; step-father, Howard Maddox; two sons, Ryan Mitchum and Tony Mitchum; an aunt, Laura Ryder Fitzpatrick. He had a love of music and played the guitar. He was a member of the band in the rock group called the Lobo's in the mid 1970's. He had a great love of animals. A memorial service was held at the Wesley United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, Fla. on August 9, 2008. He will be interred at the Langley Cemetery in South Carolina with a graveside service on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Walter Smith will officiate.
