AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Marguerite L. Mays entered into rest on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Golden Living Center. Graveside services will be held in Magnolia Cemetery this Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Linda Birchall officiating. Mrs. Mays was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta and a daughter of the late Frederick and Ollie Hett Lamback. Mrs. Mays was a homemaker, a member of St. James United Methodist Church and had attended Trinity on-the-Hill United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Martha 'Dell' and Russ Waters of Martinez; sons and daughter-in-law, George and Laura Moore of Lincolnton and Frederick Moore; brother, R. Irvine Lamback of Augusta; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Russell Waters, Jr., Kevin Waters, Jamie McNair, Chris McNair, and Rance McNair. If desired memorials may be made to the St. James United Methodist Church Building Fund, 439 Greene Street, Augusta, GA, 30901.
