'Mechiko' WARRENVILLE, S.C. - Mrs. Yoshiko 'Mechiko' Green, 74, of Warrenville, SC, wife of the late Pickens B. Green Jr., entered into rest on Sunday, November 21st, 2010 at her residence. Mechiko was born in Naha, Japan and was a daughter of the late Shigami and Shizu Tokuda Haruyama, Mechiko met Pickens while he was serving in the Army stationed in Okinawa. Mechiko was graciously accepted by Pick's family who were devout Christians and she joined them as a member of Langley First Baptist Church. She was an excellent seamstress and her favorite hobby was cooking. She retired from Automatic Switch Company as a supervisor.
