Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Debbie was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and a member of Woodland Baptist Church. Her favorite pastimes were reading and jigsaw puzzles. She was a loyal friend who had a great capacity for love. Other survivors include her daughter Phyllis J. Winnings; her brothers, Tim Brooks (Mary Grace) and Mack Brooks (Mary); her sister, Wanda B. Usry (David); three grandchildren, Allen Boatwright, Gregg Boatwright and Timothy Boatwright; several nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and many friends. Pallbearers will be Mack Brooks, Jr., Wade Brooks, Wayne Davis, Keith Pittman, Ronnie Pittman and David Usry. The family will receive friends at the home of Eloise Brooks and at James Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 27, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Due to the financial burden of a prolonged illness, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to James Funeral Home, PO Box 588, Wrens GA 30833.
