NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. David Lamar Rosier, 85, of North Augusta, SC passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 at his home. David enjoyed fishing and cooking for his family and friends. He was the Braves #1 Fan! David was well known for his work in many aspects with fiberglass. He was from a large family, being one of 12 children. David served proudly in the United States Army, serving in WWII and Korean Conflict. He was a Paratrooper and Military Policeman. During his service time he received numerous awards including the Bronze Star. Mr. Rosier is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Rosier; nine children, Debra Bargeron, Brenda (Richard) Jordan- Swartzlander, Martin Rosier, Cheryl (Chuck) Betivas, Carol (Dennis) Peacher, Eileen (Sam) Hooker, Arthur (Melanie) Rhodes, David Chisler and Stephen Chisler; one sister, Myrtle Smoldt; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 1 PM, Wednesday, January January 18, 2012 in the Telfair Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Dakota Cody Hooker, Wade Hooker, Michael Rosier, Christopher Bargeron, Doug Corley and James Corley. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
