AIKEN, S. C. - Mr. Calvin Hazel, of St. Johns Church Road, entered into rest November 2, 2012. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul H. Bush officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Hazel, a native of Aiken County was a member and deacon of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a member of Taft Masonic Lodge #282. He retired from E. I. Dupont after 38 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Emily Ingram Hazel; two daughters, Terrie Hazel Dunbar and Patricia Smith Blocker; three sons, Min. Calvin Hazel, Jr., (Rebecca); Randall Randy Hazel (Zanthia) and Raymond Willie Hazel; a sister, Gracie Bell Johnson; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
