SARDIS, Ga. - Mr. Jack Terrell Oliver passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Burke Medical Center. He was born August 13, 1936 to J.C. Doll Oliver and Pauline Long Oliver in Burke County. Mr. Terrell was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church and was a member of the Alexander Masonic Lodge #385 F&AM, 32nd degree mason and a Shriner. Mr. Terrell was a logger alongside his father and retired as the assistant superintendent of the Burke County Road Department. He loved his Lord and his family unconditionally. He had a profound sense of humor even in illness, which always lifted his spirits. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Oliver, his sister, Mary Elizabeth and brother-in-law, Arnold Mallard. Surviving are, his sons, Jack Oliver, Jr., Joey Oliver and wife Susan and Jeff Oliver and wife Leticia; his sisters, Virginia Mallard and Angeline Williams and husband Sidney; his grandchildren, Jack Trae Oliver III and wife Jen, Ron Oliver and wife Chrissy, Will Oliver and wife, Carrie, Austin Oliver, Jackson Oliver, Hayden Oliver and Makayla Oliver; step-grandchildren, Corey and wife Ashley, Matthew and wife Kelli, Jaydee and Evan Fitzgerald; great grandchildren, Kailee, Keegan, Bailey, Dylan, and Drake Oliver, Kayla, Bailen and Bentley Fitzgerald. Active Pallbearers will be Jack Oliver III, Ron Oliver, Will Oliver, Austin Oliver, Jackson Oliver, Hayden Oliver, Al Mallard and Casey Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Arthur Long, Thomas Long, Jerry Long, John Hamilton Sr., Herman Hamilton and Cleckley Reddick. Visitation will be Friday, January 4, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson- Saxon-Prescott Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be 12 noon Saturday, January 5, 2013 in the Sardis Baptist Cemetery with Reverend Roy Cates and Reverend Mark Joyner officiating. Remembrances may be made to the
