APPLING, Ga. - Mr. Edgar Ed Stapleton Norman, 45, entered into rest January 17, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Adams and Brian Sapp officiating. Interment will follow in the Stapleton Baptist Cemetery. Mr. Norman was born in Burke County, Georgia and lived in Columbia County for many years. He was retired from W. H. Hall Printing Company. Mr. Norman was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Diane Jones Norman; daughter, Amanda Vanderhoef of Athens; mother, Wilma Watts Smith and husband, Charles of Martinez; brothers, Mike Arrington and wife, Pam of Lincolnton, Wayne Arrington and wife, Leigh of Appling, Allan Norman and wife, Nancy of Winfield; sister, Rosemary Stapleton and son, Conner of Albany; uncle, Jack Stapleton of Winder and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Norman was preceded in death by his fathers, Edgar Jones Stapleton and Charlie Cullars Norman. He was the grandson of the late Edgar Stapleton and the late Marie Rivers Stapleton. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
