AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Willie Hurbert Freeman of Gordon Street entered into rest Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the V. A. Medical Center. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, Martinez, GA with Rev. George Smith officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Mr. Freeman, a native of Columbia County, GA, was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, a U. S. Army Veteran and worked at Empire Plumbing Co. and Castleberry Co. He was a member of the Four Tree of Life also known as Big Willie and a member of the Church Male Choir. Survivors are his wife, Katherine Dunbar Freeman; two daughters, Liza Dunbar Farmer, Augusta, GA and Ann Freeman Norton, Bronx, NY; 3 sons, Willie Freeman, Jr., Charles Freeman, New York, NY and Anthony Freeman, Augusta, GA; sister, Joann Williams, Augusta, GA; two brothers, Rob Moton and Randall Moton, Augusta; sister-in-law, Lula Mae Washington, Sardis, GA; 13 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
