HARLEM, Ga. - Harvey E. Minton, husband of the late Celeste Beanie Brown Minton, entered into rest Monday April 15, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 19, 2013, in the Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Kenneth G. Rowland officiating. Mr. Minton was born in Darien, Ga. to the late William L. and Jewel Minton and was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech and a member of the Harlem Historical Preservation Society and Trinity Episcopal Church of Harlem. Survivors include his children Kyle E. Minton of Harlem and Sabrina M. Walker of Martinez; three granddaughters, Taryn, Katherine and Courtney and five great- grandchildren; his brother Marvin Minton, Brunswick, and sister Glennis Combs, Dearing. Memorials may be made to the , PO Box 409410, Atlanta, GA 30384. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 7 to 9 PM at Starling Funeral Home, Harlem, Georgia.
