GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Mr. Timothy Tim Echols, 94, husband of Mrs. Alice Cheely Echols, entered into rest on Sunday, December 1st, 2013. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Echols. Born in Belton, Georgia to the late William D. and Jane Brock Echols. He was a US Army Veteran of WW II where he took part in the Philippine Liberation. He was a retired high rise construction concrete foreman with Hanson Construction with 50 years of service. Mr. Echols was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Surviving with his wife Alice Cheely Echols, of Graniteville, SC are six children: Barbara Kidd (John) and Terry Echols (Carolyn), all of Gainesville, GA, Tim Echols, Madison, GA, John Hawkins (Lynn), Phoenix, AZ, Carol Strickland and Linda Carter, both of Warrenville SC; a brother, Bascom Echols (Ruth), Lula, GA and a sister, La Trelle Warren, Cornelia, GA, thirteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and his four legged daughter, Missy. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 2 o'clock in the Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service Chapel with Dr. Roy Head and Dr. Jimmy Coyle officiating. Memorials may be made to a
