APPLING, Ga. - Mr. Winkler Bernard Fuchs, 89, husband of Minnie Lee Fuchs entered into rest Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Charlie Norwood VA Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 2:00 P.M., in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Minister Scott Patterson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in San Angelo, TX. He was born in Rosebud, TX to the late Alois and Cidonia Coon Fuchs. He was a retired US Army WWII, Korean and Vietnam veteran. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and a member of Central Church of Christ. Other survivors include his children, Cherie McElligott of Vienna, VA, Winklyn Hayes and Merl Fuchs both of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Megan Adams, Cathy Collins, Michael Collins, Corey Collins, Megan Collins, Casey McElligott, Kelly McElligott, Sean McElligott, Brian Hayes, Timothy Hayes, Gregory Fuchs, Eric Fuchs, Nick Fuchs, Aiden Hayes, Kaylinn McElligott, Aiden Fuchs, and Amelia Adams.
