AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Eddie Norton, 79, entered into rest Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Georgia Regents University Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Joe Lennon officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Jack Cushman Men's Choir. He was born in Wrens, Georgia to the the late Jesse and Marie Norton. He was a US Air Force veteran and faithfully attended the Augusta First Church of Nazarene and had retired from International Paper. He is survived by his children, Keith Norton and Sandy Newman, both of Augusta; brother, Herbert Norton of Augusta; sister, Rebie Boyd of Stapleton, GA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
