HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Edwin Lewis Bromley, 89, husband of 62 years to June Kirkland Bromley, entered into rest Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2014, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Sandy Heslop officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Bromley, son of the late Edgar Duvall and Zella Weaver Bromley, was born in Washington, DC. He was a graduate of the College of William and Mary and served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked in Civil Service for 35 years and at Bankers First for seven. He was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and a farmer for 30 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Edwin Lewis Bromley III and his wife, Darleen, of Laurel, MD; his daughters, Dawn M. Evans, and her husband, George, of Hephzibah, and Diane Tiger Cavallo and her husband, Frank, of Little River, SC; his grandchildren, Jason and Joshua Evans, Michelle Cavallo, Christine and Brandon Cavallo, and Edwin Lewis Bromley IV; his great grandchildren, Haiden and Elijah Evans; his brother, Ralph Weaver Bromley, of Pittfield, MA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Lawton Wylds, Morgan Manuel, Joshua Evans, Jason Evans, Brandon Cavallo, and Joseph Wheeler. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 2005 Windsor Spring Rd., Augusta, GA 30906. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 19, 2014, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
