Joseph Swint Obituary

STAPLETON, Ga. - Mr. Joseph "Joe" Benjamin Swint, age 62, of Hobbs Road, died Saturday evening, October 18, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 21, 2014, in the Taylor Funeral Home, Gibson. Burial will follow in the family lot in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Warrenton, Mr. Swint was a son of the late Abraham and Lucil McCorckle Swint. He was an auto mechanic for 35 years and recently retired from C & C Tire in Thomson and was of the Baptist faith. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sinilou Skelton and brother, Bill Swint and is survived by his loving wife, Agnes Louise Gay Swint of Stapleton; stepdaughter, Debbie Anderson of Gibson; stepson, Freddie and Tammy Turner of Gibson; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The Swint family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, October 20, 2014, at the funeral home. You may sign the family's personal guestbook online at www.taylorfhgibson.com.
