Gregory D'Wayne Sharpless Sr.

1959 - 2017

Gregory D'Wayne Sharpless Sr. 57 made his flight to his heavenly home on Sunday May 7, 2017. He was a native of Augusta Ga. Gregory was the owner/operator of Dawg Tile . He was a member of Clifford Memorial Presbyterian Church. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife,Sherrie Thigpen Sharpless, three sons-D'Wayne Jr. (Tabitha) Sharpless, Chris(Katie) Thigpen, Faron(Christine) Hayes ,one daughter Star Hayes. one sister Sharon(Jerry) Spencer . 11- grandchildren and 3- Great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents father Gilbert and mother LaVerne Sharpless and his sister Yvonne Tudor. Gregory's greatest enjoyments were being outdoors ,fishing,hunting,and watching wildlife and any thing outdoors. He loved to cook and preserve fruits so he could give out to his family and friends. He loved to tell stories to anyone that would listen. A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday May 13,2017 at 11;00 am in the Thomas L. King Chapel with Rev. Bobby Coleman officiating.
