To: John, Pasty, Wil and Trish,
I am so sorry to hear about Owen. My mom just told me about it last night. I remember little owen playing in church and that smile that was so cute. By the way this is Brenda McDaniel, Robbin and Mike's daughter. Mama had told me about his cancer and both him and all of you were in my thoughts and prayers. To his wife, I haven't met you, but my mom met your dad at the funeral home and she said your dad was talking about how wonderful Owen was. I know this is very tough on you and all of you are in my thoughts and prayers everyday.
Love to all of you,

Jami, Mr and Mrs Lavender, Trish and Will,
My heart goes out to all of you for your loss. Owen was a wonderful man who touched many peoples lives. Trish, I remember spending the night with you in high school and Owen was just a little guy running around. I really got to know him when Billy became friends with him. Owen stepped into my life on two separate occasions when I needed help. The first time was after the tornado had hit our home in Hephzibah. Owen came down there that night and took our dog, a boxer, home with him and kept her for a couple of days. The second time he was there for me was after Billy's death. He called me and stopped by my house on several occasions, to see if there was anything I needed. He offered to cut my grass or help out with any maintenance I might have needed in the future. I really appreciated his willingness to help me out more than he'll ever know. You see he was only one of a handful of people who was truly there for me. And I think that speaks volumes to the kind of person he was. I know he loved his family dearly and my heart goes out to all of you for the pain you are enduring. He will be greatly missed.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, Amy (Rangel) Wiest

Mr John, Mrs. Patsy, Trish, and Will... I am so deeply sorry for all that you are emotionally going through right now. What an enormous loss. Owen was a WONDERFUL person. Growing up with him I can remember running through the halls of the the church(hillcrest) even though ya'll told us to stop. Me and Christi Epps playing with him ALL the time he would act like he didn't like it..but would follow us if we didn't run after him.and beg us to play. Those dimples and smiles were so precious!! Me and Erin were blessed enough even after moving on to different churches to grow up with him and become such wonderful friends throughout life. And then to marry Jamie.. such a wonderful person inside and out. And I know that My words cant describe how much he meant to Winston..Will and Owen were like brothers to both him and Chuck..He always felt like he had to look over Owen. He will ALWAYS be cherished. Your family will be kept in our prayers. We love you

John, Patsy and family , & Jami
I am so sorry for your loss. Owen has been through so much in his life and survived them to have been taken in such a tragic way. But you know he is in the presence of our Lord. May God bless you and hold you close through these next few days. Daddy thought highly of Opie and now they will be together watching over us all.

It takes a great person to have an impact on as many lives as Owen did. He will be missed by many. Our prayers and thoughts are with your family.
