My condolences to the Gavalas family. My grandmother, Kate Choate, was the seamstress at Georgia Hatters when I was a small boy. John Choate was my father. I have wonderful memories of visiting her at work on 8th Street and of Mr. Gavalas's kindness. He was a good, kind man. God's peace to your family.
