Elizabeth Popp Obituary
Popp, Elizabeth (nee Pereklita) 93, of Oswego, formally of Aurora passed away Wednesday morning in her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born October 4, 1920, the daughter of Michael and Katherine (Budna) Pereklita. She was married to Louis Popp in 1941 and they spent 68 years together before his passing. Elizabeth was a member of St. Michaels Church, Women of the Moose, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, Turner's Club, Phoenix Club, and Irish Club. Elizabeth enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She was survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Troy) Fisher; granddaughters, Marcia (Steve) Klein and Michelle (Ben) Kennedy, and her great-grandchildren, Catherine, Rachel, Stephanie, and Alicia Klein and Zoe and Nathan Kennedy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Katherine Pereklita; her husband, Louis Popp; two sons, Michael and Louis; three sisters, Ann Streit, Mary Kelly and Sophie Pereklita and two brothers, Stanley and Walter Pereklita. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Michael Church. Interment will be at St. Michael Cemetery In state visitation will be held prior to the funeral services at St. Michael Church from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour.
