Jim graduated from East Aurora High School in 1953 and was united in marriage with Joan (Brown) at St. Therese Church in Aurora on May 1, 1954. Jim and Joan were set to celebrate their Sixtieth Anniversary this May. After high school Jim served his country in the United States Marine Corps reserves and went to work at Commonwealth Edison. Jim loved his golf trips and he was an avid fisherman and hunter. Jim and his older sons opened McCue's Pub in 1980. It was here that he became famous for his "bar tricks" like the disappearing cigarette tricks which he once performed on David Copperfield. They then bought the Gaslight Manor which they ran from 1988 to 2000. In retirement he spent many summers working as a ranger at Blackberry Oaks golf course in Bristol. Jim was a member of many clubs during his lifetime including The Lucky 50 Club, The Phoenix Club, The Batavia Moose Lodge #682 and his favorite The East Aurora Old Timers Association. Jim lived a long, full life and enjoyed living it. Most importantly, he was a devoted family man. Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew him and he leaves behind an entire entourage of family and friends to cherish his memory. Survivors include his loving wife, Joan McCue; five children, Jimmy (Nicole) McCue, Kathy Edwards, Billy (Barb) McCue, Johnny (Laura) McCue, Patti (Mike Moravek) McCue; twenty-two grandchildren, Kelly, Kari and Dani McCue, Cristin, Joey, Alyssa and Brian McCue, Katy, Jessica and Jamie McCue, Stacy Hayton, Amy, Steven Edwards and Nathan McCue, Ryan, Carly and Cody McCue, Nicole and Jack McCue and Sammy, Emily and Michael Moravek and eleven great-grandchildren and by his brother, Bob (Judy) McCue.
