Raymond Paul Babush Jr. Obituary
Babush Jr., Raymond Paul 69, of Sandwich, IL, passed away November 17, 2013 at Northwestern Hospital, Chicago, IL. He was born November 19, 1943, Chicago, IL the son of Raymond P. and Anne (Stiklus) Babush, Sr. Ray was united in marriage on October 31, 1986 to Jeannette Gallagher and they spent the next 27 happy years together. Mr. Babush, Jr. was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Sandwich, IL. Ray served his country proudly in the United States Marines Corps. He was formerly employed as a service engineer by both Teledyne Pines, Aurora, IL and Hytek, Sugar Grove, IL. Ray enjoyed nothing more than playing Santa to his grandchildren and watching them motorcross race. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Ray is survived by his wife, Jeannette Babush, Sandwich, IL; his children, Dawn (James) Willsey, Wheaton, IL, James (Lisa) Krisch, Mendota, IL and Jordan (Kirstin) Krisch, Mendota, IL; eight grandchildren, with one more soon to be; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, two sisters, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Anne Babush, Sr.; a sister, Agatha McCullah and three siblings in infancy. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 340 West Arnold Street, Sandwich, IL with Father Andrew C. Hougan, officiating. Interment will be private in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 concluding with a Military Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1275 South Countyline Road, Sandwich, IL.
