Ernest BRIDGES Obituary
of Lancaster passed away on Aug. 18, 2018. He was born on Oct. 24, 1959 to Ernest and Louise Bridges. He graduated from Birmingham High School and Antelope Valley College. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Ernie was a Palmale School District employee for over 30 years as an HVAC technician. Ernie also taught HVAC at Antelope Valley College for 10 years . Ernie loved to golf, fish, travel the world, walk his beloved dogs Penny and Angel, spending time with his family, friends and Raiders football. In 2016 he brought in a 10 foot, 210lb marlin off the coast of Mazatlan Mexico. His best catch however was marrying his wife of 31 years, Margaret Keough Bridges.
Ernie is survived by his beloved wife Margaret, his mother, a sister Lola Shiver, and a brother Kenneth. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephew, all of whom he loved dearly. Ernie was preceded in death by his father Ernest, and brothers Ron and Cliff.
Ernie lived his life honestly, helpfully and lovingly. He was a wonderful husband to Margaret, and a very good friend to many. We have a lost a very special man.
Services to be held on Tuesday August 28 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 565 W. Kettering St. Lancaster, CA. Rosary will be at 9:30 am with the funeral mass to follow at 10:00. Interment will take place at a later date.
