Thomas Sowden Obituary
96, passed away on June 11, 2017 in Tempe, AZ. He was born in Globe, Arizona on August 10, 1920. He graduated from Globe High School and served in the Army for 4 years, spending most of his time in Germany. Jack married Mildred Lyon in 1948. They made their home in Globe where they raised their 2 daughters. He retired from ADOT and spent his free time gardening and fishing. He was a faithful servant of his church, St. Paul's Methodist. Jack was predeceased by Mildred in 2006. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Kathleen Ost (Fred) of Carmel, Indiana and Patricia Sowden of Tempe, Arizona. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Kathy Norton (Matt), Fred Ost, Alex Gable (Dan), and Elece Maguire (Damian), and his 8 great grandchildren, Odessa, John, and Grant Norton, Caroline and Ty Gable, and Padraic, Sean, and Riley Maguire. In Jack's memory, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85014 or to a favorite charity. No services are planned.

It was a privilege and honor to serve your mom and dad, an experience I will treasure always.
Prayers and love to you at this time, I know Jack will be greatly missed by all of you.
